Start with the local installation

Keep the Alsalibi-AdBlock folder in a permanent location.

1. Download and extract
2. chrome://extensions — Then enable Developer mode.
3. Choose Load unpacked, then select the folder extension.
4. Pin the icon from Chrome’s extensions menu and reload your open website pages.

Per-site settings

Choose Fast or Strong protection and per-site exceptions. Use the element picker when needed.

Privacy controls apply across Chrome independently of ad-blocking pauses. Hiding cookie banners does not reject tracking.

The advanced engine dashboard and tools follow Chrome’s language and support additional languages. This selector controls Alsalibi’s interface.

Does it block every ad?

It combines filter lists and blocking tools, but cannot guarantee blocking every ad, especially video ads or promotions embedded in content.

Why is “Fehler” shown in red?

Chrome recorded an error. Open the details to inspect it. A local YouTube check showed a script blocked in a sandboxed frame. That entry alone does not mean filtering stopped, and may recur. Do not weaken Chrome security to hide it.

How do I update the local version?

Replace the files in the same installation folder, then reload the extension in Chrome. Keep the extension installed during a normal update and back up your settings.

Is this AdGuard or official uBlock?

An independent customization of the open-source uBlock Origin Lite engine, with Alsalibi’s interface and additional controls. Not an official AdGuard or uBlock product. Original licenses are preserved.

Source and license

Readable source, modifications, rebuild tools and licenses are included in the download. The original engine is by Raymond Hill and contributors, under GPL-3.0-or-later.

Open-source local extension. Does not include a VPN or protection for every device application.
